MC Federal Scholarship Program

The MC Federal Credit Union Scholarship Program was established to provide educational funds for members. It is to be awarded to a current high school senior or continuing higher education student.

MC Federal Credit Union will award two scholarships in the amount of $1000 each to the student(s) who are enrolled in an accredited college or university for the upcoming academic school year. Decisions are final.

Awarding of Scholarships:

MC Federal Credit Union reserves the right to withhold award of all scholarships if too few qualified applications are received. Decisions will not be based on default. One scholarship application will be accepted per applicant. Decisions are made by MC Federal Credit Union Scholarship selection committee. All decisions are final.

Deadline

The deadline for receiving the scholarship application, essay, and sealed transcripts for 2025 is May 2, 2025.

Eligibility

To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Each applicant must be a current member of MC Federal Credit Union. Applicant’s account must be in good standing.
  2. Each applicant must be a 2025 graduating high school senior or continuing higher education student. MC Federal Credit Union employees, graduate students, and previous winners are not eligible.
  3. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  4. Applicants must submit online a completed application and a 200-word essay pertaining to the Topic. Essays will be scored with attention given to content, spellings, grammar, validity, sincerity, and the applicant’s ability to answer the question.
  5. Applicants must submit an official high school transcript or continuing education transcript for the most current semester available, with the total cumulative grade point average (GPA) on the transcript.

Criteria for Application

It is the responsibility of the applicant to see that all information is received by the Credit Union’s deadline.

Include the following when submitting the application:

  1. A completed application
  2. A written essay (at least 200 words)
  3. Request an official transcript to be mailed to MC Federal Credit Union in a sealed, stamped envelope.
    • Official high school transcript must be for the most current semester available, with the total cumulative grade point average (GPA) on the transcript. Transcript must be received by MC Federal Credit Union, Attn: Ashley Jones, 1339 Saint Mary St, Suite 1, Lewisburg, PA 17837; directly from the school in a sealed envelope by the deadline.

“Financial Education is a powerful tool to prepare young people for a better tomorrow. How can the credit union tailor it’s financial education program to provide a strong financial foundation to young adults?”
