Help Direct the Future
The Board of Directors at your credit union is made up of qualified, volunteer credit union members. We are “People Helping People” succeed in their future and as a member of the board, you can shape the future of your credit union while using your skills to contribute to its mission.
The Nominating committee has named incumbents Doug Bastian, Rose Williams, Paul W.J. Dalkiewicz, and Lonnie Hill, who have previously filed with the Secretary of the Board of Directors.
Doug Bastian is a resident of Danville and a retiree of Merck & Co, where he filled various positions. Doug received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bucknell University. An active community member, Doug volunteers as the President/Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble. He also serves as the Financial Secretary for the Penn State Extension – Master Gardeners. Previously, Doug served as the Board President for Merck Cherokee FCU from 1980-1988. Presently, Doug has served on the MC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors as Treasurer and subsequently as President since 2019. Doug said, “As an incumbent Board Member, I’d like to continue to help govern MCFCU such that we positively impact the financial health of our members and the communities we serve.”
Rose Williams is a resident of New Columbia and is the Founder and Executive Director of Getting Ahead Foundation. Rose received an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from Northampton Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bucknell University. Dedicated to giving back, Rose volunteers as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for The Improved Milton Experience (T.I.M.E.). She also serves as a member of the Advisory Board for US/CAA and the Salvation Army – Milton. Previously, Rose served on the MC Federal Credit Union Supervisory Committee, before accepting a role as a member of the Board of Directors in May of 2024. Rose commented, “I completed the term (1 year) of another board member. I have learned through the past year, about MCFCU’s activities, how revenue is generated, and potential risks they face. Being the Executive Director of a nonprofit, I am able to read and understand balance sheets and income statements. Through my role on the Supervisory Committee, I am knowledgeable of internal control structures that mitigate risks. I will continue to act in good faith and have the best interest of MCFCU’s membership.”
Paul W.J. Dalkiewicz is a Northumberland resident and retiree of MC Federal Credit Union where he filled the role of Human Resource Manager. He received an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from Luzerne County Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Labor Relations from Pennsylvania State University. Paul is a member of the Board of Directors of the Union County Sportsman Club, serving as the Chairman of the House Committee. He has served on the MC Federal Board of Directors since 2024. Paul said, “As a former employee, I bring a unique, inside perspective on how the credit union operates.”
Lonnie Hill is a Lewisburg resident and retired Attorney. He is now self employed at Hill Yeah Coins and Collectibles. Lonnie received an Associate of Applied Science in Police Science from Northern Virginia Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from American University, and a Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law (now Scalia School of Law). He is a former Cub Master, Scout Master, and Explorer Post Advisor for the Boy Scouts of America. Lonnie has also previously served as a President of the Lewisburg Lions Club, Buffalo Valley A.M. Kiwanis Club, and Big Brother’s Big Sister of Susquehanna Valley. He served as Chairperson for the creation of Kidsburg in Lewisburg, PA, and was a member of the Lewisburg Sunset Rotary. He has served on the MC Federal Board of Directors since 2024. Lonnie said, “As a retired attorney with 35 years on a successful legal practice, I would like to bring my knowledge and skills to the Board of Directors at MC Federal Credit Union. Throughout my career and my involvement in community organizations, I have demonstrated a commitment to integrity, ethical conduct, and attention to detail. As a member of various credit unions over many years and having had a family member employed by a large credit union, I believe in the power of credit union to empower individuals and communities by providing accessible financial services. I would like to contribute my skills and experiences to the continued success and growth of MC Federal Credit Union.
