On a federal level, lawmakers are discussing the elimination of the credit union tax-exempt status which could adversely impact credit union members nationwide. MC Federal Credit Union is joining credit unions across the country to take a stand against this threat.

Credit Unions, which operate as not-for-profit financial cooperatives, do not pay corporate income tax, allowing us to offer our members better rates and fewer fees. This makes us the best option for affordable financial services for families and small business owners. With this key tax provision set to expire in 2025, now is the time to act.
