MC Federal Credit Union was proud to be represented at the America’s Credit Unions Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C., the credit union industry’s largest and most impactful advocacy event.
Elba Arenas, President & CEO, and Brian Wiktor, Chief Lending Officer, joined credit union leaders from across the country to engage in important discussions surrounding public policy, advocacy, and the future of the credit union movement.
While attending the conference, Elba and Brian also participated in Hike the Hill, an opportunity for credit union professionals to meet directly with lawmakers and discuss key industry issues, including credit card-related legislation, lending flexibility, and protecting consumers from payment scams. These conversations help ensure that the credit union perspective—and the needs of our members—are heard on Capitol Hill.
One of the photos captured during the visit shows a group of credit union professionals meeting with Dave McCormick (R-PA).
GAC provides a unique opportunity for leaders and advocates from the credit union movement to come together, discuss key policy issues, and build relationships that strengthen advocacy efforts. Through informative sessions and face-to-face meetings with lawmakers, attendees leave better equipped to represent credit unions and support the financial well-being of the communities they serve.
MC Federal Credit Union remains committed to supporting the credit union mission and ensuring our members’ voices are represented at the national level.
