It describes our credit union’s privacy policy and practices concerning the personal information we collect and disclose about our members. It also includes information about the parties who receive personal and sometimes nonpublic information from us as we conduct the business of the credit union. How does MC Federal Credit Union protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does MC Federal Credit Union collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you open an account or use your credit or debit card make a wire transfer or show your government-issued ID apply for financing

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • MC Federal Credit Union has no affiliates.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • MC Federal Credit Union does not share with our nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Children’s Online Privacy
MCFCU does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13 who use our website. For more information about the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), please visit the Federal Trade Commission website.

MCFCU encourages our members to review the privacy and security policies of any third-party website accessed through MCFCU’s website. Privacy and security policies of third-party websites may differ from those practiced by MCFCU. MCFCU is not responsible for the content of sites it does not operate.  MCFCU does not represent the third-party, or the member, should the two enter into a transaction. MCFCU does not guarantee or assume liability for any third-party product, or service obtained through our website.

Data Retention
Federal laws and regulations require that US financial institutions retain your personal and financial data. We will retain, protect, and use your personal and financial data for no longer than is necessary to complete our obligations, enforce our contractual agreements, resolve a dispute, or as otherwise permitted under the applicable law.

Use of Google Analytics
At MCFCU, we use Google Analytics to track how users interact with our website, gather demographic information about our user base, and uncover potential technical issues. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit, and what sites they visited prior to our site. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than other identifying information. We do not link the information collected via Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. MCFCU maintains profiles on social networking sites, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Be aware that any information you provide on these sites is publicly available and may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. MCFCU monitors these pages and is provided with reports that evaluate how users interact with each social networking site, including but not limited to views, likes, comments, shares, mentions and reviews.
