PHEAA PLUS loans are federally-guaranteed loans for parents to help supplement your other sources of financial aid, giving you the flexibility to cover 100% of your student’s college expenses. We have a low interest rate of 7.0% and an extra .25% interest rate reduction when payments are set up for automatic deduction from a savings or checking account.

  • You must be a Pennsylvania resident with a child attending any accredited school (regardless of location).

 

  • Be an out-of-state resident with a child attending an accredited school in Pennsylvania.

 

  • You must also meet general Parent PLUS loan eligibility requirements.

 

  • No income requirements.

 

  • Be credit worthy. Poor credit? May still qualify with credit-ready endorser.

  • Use loan funds for all associated costs - including tuition, room and board, books, transportation, computer, etc.

  • Have your Social Security number and date of birth, the student’s Social Security number and date of birth.

 

  • Your Driver’s License information, name, address and telephone number for two references, and your FAFSA PIN ready*

 

  • Your employer’s name, address and telephone number
